Practice, entrepreneurship, action, creativity, and knowledge (PEACK)

Knowledge-informed practice, creativity, entrepreneurship and innovation are critical to our economic, social and environmental wellbeing.

In this research cluster, we seek to understand the organisational dynamics of these important socio-economic processes for individuals, businesses, markets, society, and sustainability.

We are interested in how ideas travel and how knowledge and practice interact to shape societies, organisations and individuals. We focus on the structures, processes and everyday practices of knowledge creation, innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship that enable prosperous and sustainable outcomes for communities, economies, and our planet.

The cluster is pluralist and inclusive in its research philosophies, drawing on both critical and mainstream perspectives, and using both established and innovative research methods. Cluster members also have an outstanding commitment to wider engagement and collaboration with stakeholders.

Members of the cluster hold positions on editorial boards at: Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Evidence and Policy, Human Relations, Human Resource Development International, Human Resource Development Quarterly, International Journal of Public Sector Management, Journal of Management Studies, Management Learning, and Organization Studies.

The cluster is convened by Kevin Orr and Hannah Dean
