Steffen Böhm PhD FRSA is Professor in Organisation and Sustainability in the University of Exeter Business School's Department of Management.
Professor Böhm's work focuses on understanding the role of business in tackling today’s grand challenges, such as climate change, biodiversity loss, and social inequality. His unique approach sees firms as part of contested system dynamics between civil society, state, and nonhuman actors. His work has mostly focused on circular food systems, energy and climate justice, and nature recovery – often from a place-based perspective.
He supervises many research and engagement projects by undergraduate, Masters, and PhD students, working with postdoctoral researchers, activists, managers, policy makers, and other changemakers in Cornwall, Southwest England, and beyond.
