The University offers excellent musical facilities and a wide range of opportunities for students and non-students alike.
The Music Centre is open to everyone, from absolute beginners to experienced musicians, whether you want to take lessons, play in groups, practise or just come and listen. In addition, the University offers nine undergraduate modules for those who wish to make music part of their degree.

The Strings in Spring course is running Monday 8 - Friday 12 April 2013 providing five days of string chamber music training. Please view the Strings in Spring webpage for details. Enjoy group sessions, lectures and seminars, and the option of individual tuition from members of the renowned Fitzwilliam Quartet and staff from the Music Centre at the University of St Andrews. Ready-formed string quartets and individual string players of a level equivalent to grade 6 or above are welcome to join this intensive course, combining the pleasures of great music, great company and a matchless location.
