Module description

The intersection of Bible, theology, and the arts in the contemporary world is a dynamic and rapidly growing field that bridges biblical and theological inquiry with artistic expression. This module explores the ways in which the arts shape and are shaped by biblical and theological thought, drawing on both time-honoured traditions and cutting-edge contemporary forms. Through a blend of recorded lectures, independent study, and feedback-driven assessments, students will critically engage with historical, theoretical, and cultural perspectives on the relationship between Scripture, theology, and the arts. This course invites students to reflect on how artistic engagement can illuminate biblical narratives, theological themes, and contribute to broader cultural conversations, fostering deeper insight and understanding.
