SCOTCAT credits

The Scottish Credit Accumulation and Transfer (SCOTCAT) system allows credits gained in Scotland to be transferred between institutions. The number of credits associated with a module gives an indication of the amount of learning effort required by the learner. European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) credits are half the value of SCOTCAT credits.

Module description

Innovation is essential for driving change and ensuring organisational competitiveness and renewal. However, it remains misunderstood or misapplied. This module explores the multifaceted theory and practice of strategically managing innovation within contemporary organisations. It provides students with a solid foundation to engage with the complexities and contradictions of innovation, helping them apply these insights to both professional and personal contexts. Through real-world case studies and practical exercises, students will apply innovation frameworks to contemporary challenges, gaining a comprehensive understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of innovation management.
