Module description

Housing, education, and healthcare are key pillars of social reproduction, and increasingly shape urban and regional development. This module explores how these social infrastructures influence the mobilities of people and capital, and examines the roles of individuals, markets, and the state in facilitating these movements to leverage urban and regional (re)development. Students will engage with theories in critical infrastructure studies, social reproduction, urban and regional governance, and the geographies of education, housing, and healthcare.
