Module description
The 10-credit iteration of the work-based project module is designed to sit in combination with another 20 credit PGT module, and to provide complementary work experience in relation to this module. Students will build a range of practical and transferable skills during a period of work undertaken during the second semester that will be instrumental in securing employment upon graduation. A portfolio of projects, developed with a range of cultural institutions will be offered to students. It is envisaged that these will encompass a breadth of activities from collections management to audience development, from digital engagement to policy creation. Students will spend 30 hours at the host institution (arranged in mutually agreed working pattern) during the second semester of the academic year. Additional time will be spent writing their assessed outputs. Students will be supported academically by Museum and Heritage Studies staff throughout through regular meetings and discussion
