Module description

This module will look at the upheavals in French politics and culture from the First World War to the early Thirties. Through the examination of literary texts, we will study total war and its consequences. Set texts include: Ian Higgins (ed.), Anthology of First World War Poetry and Louis-Ferdinand Ciline, Voyage au bout de la nuit.
