Students will continue to acquire Chinese characters (around 900 characters and 2,000 words) while studying more complex texts and enhancing their reading, writing, and spoken language skills. The lectures in this module focus on the creation of China as a nation-state, in which all the country's citizens were called upon to invest in a common cultural, social and political vision, and which is a recent and still ongoing process.
