Module description
This module provides a grounding in Chinese language and cultural history. Students will learn to speak the language with accurate pronunciation and tones, as well as to recognise and to reproduce in writing around 300 characters and around 600 words. This module is designed for those with little or no background in Chinese.

IN TAKING THIS MODULE YOU MUST NOT HAVE HIGHER OR A-LEVEL CHINESE OR EQUIVALENT OR BE A NATIVE SPEAKER OF CHINESE.
