The Scottish Credit Accumulation and Transfer (SCOTCAT) system allows credits gained in Scotland to be transferred between institutions. The number of credits associated with a module gives an indication of the amount of learning effort required by the learner. European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) credits are half the value of SCOTCAT credits.

Module description

The language part of the module consists of two class hours each week, developing the skills of reading, listening, speaking and writing. Language material will reflect cultural aspects of the Spanish-speaking world. The module maintains progress from SP2001 and SP2005; there is a learning gradient. Literary texts are studied in the context of regions and epochs including Middle Ages and Renaissance in Spain and modern Spanish America.
