ELCAS funding for members of the Armed Forces
If you are a current or former member of the UK armed forces you may be eligible for Ministry of Defence Enhanced Learning Credit Scheme (ELCAS) funding.
We are an approved provider for ELCAS for armed forces personnel and all of our online MSc, PGDip and PGCert courses are available under this scheme. Please note that stand alone modules are not included as they do not lead to a nationally recognised Level 3 or above qualification.
Please check the ELCAS website for full details or contact your Education Officer. We recommend you apply for ELCAS funding at least two months before the start of your studies. When completing your ELCAS claim form you will be asked for the University of St Andrews provider code, which is 1465.
If you are seeking or have gained ELCAS funding, please mention this when you fill in your application.
Once your funding has been approved please email your ELCAS claim authorisation note to sponsor-invoices@st-andrews.ac.uk. If your ELCAS funding does not cover the full fees payable you will need to arrange payment for your personal liability prior to registering to start your course, known as matriculation.
If you have not received your ELCAS claim form before matriculation you will need to arrange payment or set up an instalment plan for your tuition fee. If your funding is later paid to the University, we will refund any personal overpayment to the original source of payment.
