EU entrants fee status
Following clarification from the Student Awards Agency Scotland (SAAS) around ordinary residence requirements, EU applicants starting their studies from the 2022-2023 academic year will have their fee status assessed in one of the following categories:
- EU nationals living in the EU without pre-settled or settled status in the UK – Overseas
- EU nationals living in the EU with pre-settled or settled status in the UK – Overseas
- EU nationals living in the UK with pre-settled or settled status in the UK – Home (Scotland)
- EU nationals at boarding school in the UK with pre-settled or settled status in the UK – Home (Scotland)
In all instances, applicants must meet the residency conditions of three years in the UK/EU/EEA/Switzerland.
UK nationals who are living in the EU/EEA/Switzerland and meet the residency conditions will be considered as either 'Home' or 'Rest of the UK' for tuition fee purposes.
