  Experience Life at St Andrews

  Get a first-hand taste of university life at St Andrews. Attend lectures, explore the campus, and see how university learning differs from school. You'll pick up useful study skills, meet current students, and start thinking about what your future could look like.

  Tutorial and Lab Day

  Take part in interactive tutorials and hands-on lab sessions with university staff and students. Share your ideas, tackle real academic challenges, and experience the style of learning you'll find at university. It's a great opportunity to build confidence and try something new.

  Online Taster Lecture Series

  Explore a wide range of subjects through short online lectures from University of St Andrews academics. From big global issues to fascinating specialist topics, you'll discover new ideas, learn something unexpected, and get a glimpse of what studying at university is really like.

  Online Skills Academy

  Build the skills that will help you succeed in school, university, and beyond. Learn how to think critically, stay motivated, take effective notes, manage your workload, and communicate your ideas with confidence. These practical sessions are designed to help you get the most from your learning.

  Sutton Trust Summer School

  Spend a week experiencing university life for yourself. Study a subject that interests you, meet young people from across the UK, and get a feel for what life as a university student is really like. You'll leave with new skills, greater confidence, and a stronger understanding of your options after school.

  Find out what makes a strong university application and gain expert advice on every stage of the process. Through interactive workshops, you'll learn how to stand out as an applicant. 

  Online UCAS Workshops

  Take the stress out of applying to university. These practical online sessions guide you through every part of the UCAS application, from understanding contextual admissions to building and refining your personal statement.

  Online Soft Skills Academy

  Get university-ready with workshops focused on the skills that matter most. Explore advanced critical thinking, independent learning, academic study techniques, and strategies for managing the transition to higher education. Gain the confidence and skills needed to succeed in your first year and beyond.

  Offer Holder Day

  Received an offer from St Andrews? Celebrate your achievement and take a closer look at your future university experience. Meet staff and students, explore your subject area, and get a feel for life at St Andrews before making your final decision.

  Introduction to Fees and Funding

  Learn more about the financial support available for university study. This session helps pupils and families understand tuition fees, student funding, scholarships, and budgeting, helping you make informed decisions about higher education.

  University Shadowing

  Experience a day in the life of a St Andrews student. Attend real lectures, explore your chosen subject, and spend time with current students who can share their experiences of university life. A valuable opportunity to see what studying your chosen subject is really like.

  Graduation

  Finish the programme by celebrating your achievements alongside fellow participants, families, teachers, and university staff. Graduation recognises the hard work, commitment, and progress you've made throughout your journey and marks the next exciting step in your educational future.
