Study support sessions
Led by our very own student ambassadors, these online sessions are designed to help you with your revision for Highers and Advanced Highers, if you are taking them.
You will develop skills that will help you, not only at this stage of your educational journey, but also beyond.
Information and guidance sessions
We will talk you through how to make a competitive application to universities, with a particular focus on writing a strong personal statement. As the year goes on, we will move to sessions focused on the transition to university. In these sessions, we will cover areas such as essential academic skills, budgeting as a student, and fees and funding.
Revision weekends
This is an opportunity for guided revision: our tutors will lead revision sessions in subjects you are studying at Higher level, and you will have access to a quiet study space in which to focus on your own work.
Graduation
At the end of S6 we will have a graduation day in St Andrews. You will attend multiple sessions on the transition to university and we will celebrate everything you’ve achieved during your time as a First Chances pupil.
