St. Andrews top for UK philosophy in 2023

The Department has been ranked the top philosophy department in the UK by the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2023, repeating our top ranking from last year. This guide is often regarded as the most influential student-focussed UK guide of this kind. This is a fantastic result, and a tribute to the very hard work and high standards set by everyone involved in delivering our teaching.
