Dr Derek Ball wins Inaugural Prize for Sustainability in the Curriculum

Dr Derek Ball is the winner of the first St Andrews Prize for Sustainability in the Curriculum, sponsored by the Environmental Sustainability Board.

Dr Ball is being recognized for having the best designed module proposal which integrates issues of sustainability and climate change into the curriculum. His honours module, 'The Philosophy of the Climate Crisis', engages with many fields including ethics, political philosophy, game theory, decision theory, and philosophy of science and gives students the opportunity to complete a practical project aimed at addressing problems of climate change.
