Course information

In the UK, publishing your research open access is often a requirement for many funding bodies, but there are many myths and misconceptions as to what that involves. In this session, we’ll bust some of those myths and you’ll learn what open access entails today.

Aims and objectives

  • To understand the academic publishing workflow and open access landscape in the UK
  • To understand the benefits of open access publishing
  • To gain a familiarity with the university’s own institutional open access policies and requirements, as well as those of various funding organisations
