Course information

This small group session is designed to aid understanding of loss and change, whether that relates to bereavement or to other significant life losses and transitions. We will look at some of the main theories, myth-bust common misconceptions, look at the different ways we are impacted, and consider the term “good grief”. We will also suggest ways to help you manage and navigate your grief and create space for you to consider what you might need next.

There will be space to reflect and share thoughts, but there’s no expectation to share your personal story. If your loss is particularly recent or raw, we encourage speaking with Student Services first to see if this session is right for you.

Aims and objectives

Greater understanding of how grief impacts us and how we can navigate life whilst making space for it.
