PLEASE NOTE: This workshop will run online.  If you are no longer able to attend, please cancel your place at least two working days before so that we can allow others onto the course. 

  

In this GRADskills workshop you will gain an understanding of the process for the submission of the library copy of the PhD thesis along with all the supportive information. We will discuss the timeline of the final library copy, highlighting the declarations and decisions you need to make including, embargo, acknowledgements and copyright.  

  

This workshop will be delivered in the form of presentations and Q&A. Participants will be encouraged to contribute and ask questions. 

Aims and objectives

By the end of this workshop you should be able to: 

  • Understand the process for the submission of your library copy of your thesis, including registration for the St Andrews Research Repository
  • Understand rationale for requesting an embargo or a redaction on your thesis 
  • Declare your acknowledgements  
  • Understand common copyright issues and how to navigate them
