Microsoft Word: Manuscript and Referencing Tools

Key details: Learn how to use the many referencing tools available in Word to help manage more formal documents.(In-person delivery; town-centre classroom)
Qualifications needed
This course presumes a good working knowledge of Word and in particular Styles, as covered in the Advanced Document Management course, and is highly recommended as a prerequisite for this course.
Course information
NOTE: These are live, in-classroom sessions at a stated venue.
This course will cover features in Word useful to the production and editing of academic documents.
Skills include:
- using outline numbered headings
- using endnotes/footnotes
- using reference and citation tools (Word tools only, this will NOT cover other bibliographic software, eg Endnote)
- using cross-references
- creating an index
- using track changes to edit documents
- protecting documents
