PLEASE NOTE: This is an in-person event. For those unable to make it, an online Postgraduate Researcher Welcome event will take place on the the 1st od June 2026. You are not required to attend both online and in person events. The same information will be repeated at each event so you only need to sign up to one.
This In-person Postgraduate Researcher Induction and Essentials will give new research postgraduate students the opportunity to meet some of the staff who are there to support you throughout your degree, ask questions about aspects of policy, procedures, and support available, as well as to meet and get to know some other new students.
You will hear more about and be able to ask questions about support services across the University, including:

The event will open with a welcome from the Provost and some information from key members of staff. You will then be given the opportunity to hear from current and recent former students, and ask questions about their experience as a PGR student at the University of St Andrews.
