Christen Albertsen Hamilton served as mayor of Copenhagen. He was married to Margrethe van Moersen. They had two sons, Robert [SSNE 879] and possibly John [SSNE 8480].

Christen Albertsen Hamilton was elected councillor in Copenhagen on 11/2/1596, and twice served as mayor 19/9 and 20/10/1594. He died on 2/4/1616 aged 48 and was buried in St. Nicholas's. Christen Albertsen formally represented Copenhagen at the election of Prince Christian 1608 and at his acclamation in 1610. His widow and other heirs rented a house and a garden from the town 1620. In 1600 Christen Albertsen obtained passport dated 19/4 for a voyage to Narva for himself and four burgesses of Copenhagen and 4/5/1600 a passport for himself, a mayor and a councillor of Koge for their ship's Baltic venture. Christen Albertsen had a stall in Ved Stranden (Strand kvarter) in 1609.
