Mette Maria was the daughter of Patrick Dunbar of Cumnock, Count Spanderup (in Åsbo Southern Hundred, in Skåne) [SSNE 272] and Maren Munch or Munk. She married Jørgen Urne of Axelvold. Prior to her death in March 1702, Mette Maria consigned her testamentary provisions in her own hand in the stambog (autograph amicorum) of her mother-in-law’s father, Axel Ulfstand of Axelvold. Mette Maria had a brother, John (Hans) Dunbar til Spannerup [SSNE 269] who served in the army and died in 1685.
