Eric Teet was the son of Henry Tait [SSNE 62], who was ennobled in Sweden in 1658. Eric was born in 1649, and was the younger brother of Johan [SSNE 99] and Petrus [SSNE 157] Teet. He became district governor in Medelpad and died in 1673. A man of the same name [SSNE 1148], and most probably his son operated several iron foundries in the Medelpad region between 1684-1694
