There was also a John Maxwell who was ensign in James Seaton's [SSNE 3476] regiment in 1630, which may mean he transferred from Seaton's into Ruthven's. He was an ensign in Patrick Ruthven's regiment in 1631-2. He was an ensign in Francis Ruthven's [SSNE 3404] regiment in 1633
