Jacob Duwall was the son of Baron Jacob MacDougall [SSNE 1623] and he arrived at Uppsala in 1636 with his brothers, Gustav [SSNE 1723] and George [SSNE 3500]. It was possibly this Jacob who engaged in correspondence with the Momma-Reenstierna brothers 1660-1666 regarding business dealings with wine and bar iron. He married Brita Skytte and they had children; Laurentz [SSNE 2465] and Gustav [SSNE 2450] and Jacob [SSNE 2456]. His daughter, Anna Elisabet Duwall [SSNE 7855] later married Admiral Claes Fleming. Jacob becomes known as "Jacob of Österbotten"
