James Williams served as 'Byfoged' during the period 9/4/1586-5/7/1588. He became Mayor of Maribo by 21/12/1591 and had died by 24/7/1594, still owing money for his charge as 'byfoged'; ten daler of his arrears were remitted to his widow Dorete 24/7/1594.
