GSIS Community Fund: Strand Jewellery Workshop
Our latest social, funded by The GSIS Community Fund, brought everyone together for a sea glass jewellery workshop with Strand Jewellery, transforming a rainy afternoon into something crafty and wholesome.
Global Sustainable Development MSc student and event organiser Amber Farram commented "Amy, a local jewellery maker, collects sea glass from the St Andrews coastline and turns it into beautiful pieces. Amy showed us how to wire-wrap our own pendants and make necklaces to take home. Despite the rain forcing us inside, it was the perfect activity after a long dissertation session the day before. It was a relaxed afternoon and a lovely way to unwind while supporting a local creative business."
