GSIS Community Fund: Scavenger Hunt

11 March 2026

On Saturday 21 February students from across the Graduate School for Interdisciplinary Studies recently took part in a lively St Andrews Scavenger Hunt, funded by the GSIS Community Fund.

Our Global Sustainable Development student, Amber Farram, who organised the event, noted that the Scavenger Hunt "sent teams racing between historic landmarks, University buildings and familiar corners of the town. At every stop, teams snapped a group selfie, with the final clue leading everyone back to the Old Burgh School - the heart of the Graduate School Community. The afternoon began with sunshine but even when the rain arrived, it did not stop our teams.

The winning team: Alex, Caitlyn and Caroline from Gender Studies completed the route the fastest.

The best dressed team: Mabel, Florence and Margaux from Global Sustainable Development impressed with their outfits inspired by fire, earth and wind.

The runners-up: Whitley, Rowan and Abbey from Museum and Heritage Studies finished close behind.

All the teams received giftcards to Jannettas Gelateria as a well deserved treat."
