Health Data Science PhD Studentship

The School offers its congratulations to MSc student Heather Tiernan on being awarded the first Health Data Science PhD studentship, from the School of Medicine and the School of Computer Science. Heather will be working with Professor Silvia Paracchini on the interdisciplinary project “Unravelling Genetic Risk Variants in Neurodevelopmental Conditions”.

We’re delighted to celebrate this with Heather who graduated with a BSc (Honours) in Biochemistry from the University of St Andrews in 2023 and is currently studying on our MSc programme in Health Data Science on a DHI (Digital Health & Care Innovation Centre) studentship and is part of this year’s national Data Lab Academy (23-24).
