Bobby Jones Scholars 2024
Emory University has chosen four seniors for the Robert T. Jones Jr. Scholarship program, sending them here, to the University of St Andrews, for a year of fully funded study.
The Robert T. Jones Jr. Scholarship program is a prestigious award that emphasizes academic excellence, exemplary character, and integrity. Joanne Brzinski, senior associate dean for undergraduate education at Emory College, noted the challenge of selecting from a pool of 37 applicants.
"The four students selected showed why this postgraduate experience mattered to them," says Brzinski. "We believe they'll represent Emory well at St Andrews, contributing to their growth both professionally and personally."
The selected scholars, known as Bobby Jones Scholars, are Amelia Andujar, Grace Johnson, Shreyas Rajagopal, and Amelia Tamez. They will engage in interdisciplinary study at St Andrews, upholding the program's focus on academic excellence and integrity.

Three of the students will be joining us here at the Graduate School for Interdisciplinary Studies (GSIS): Amelia and Shreyas will be pursuing their MLitt in Global Social and Political Thought, and Grace will be taking the Gender Studies MLitt
This selection honours Bobby Jones' legacy and highlights Emory's commitment to academic excellence and global engagement. We look forward to welcoming the Scholars at GSIS.
