Commonwealth Shared Scholarships

20 November 2022

The University of St Andrews is pleased to offer Commonwealth Shared Scholarships for students from low- and middle-income Commonwealth countries.

The scholarships are for students starting a Masters degree in September 2023. The scholarships are open to applicants for the following Graduate School for Interdisciplinary Studies Masters degrees:

Commonwealth Shared Scholarships

The Commonwealth Shared Scholarships are a joint initiative between the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (with funding from FCDO)  and UK universities, to support scholarships for students from low and middle-income Commonwealth countries who would not otherwise be able to study in the UK.

Applicants must be nationals of an eligible Commonwealth country (see the CSSS website for list of countries) not at present living or studying in a developed country.

Each scholarship covers the full tuition fees for the degree, inward and homeward airfares, monthly stipend, arrival allowance, thesis grant, and a study travel grant.

Applications

The closing date for scholarship applications is Tuesday 13 December 2022. We recommend applying for your course at the University of St Andrews before you apply for the scholarship via the Commonwealth online application system. Please note that you do not need to have accepted your place before applying for the scholarship, but you must have an offer of a place by the scholarship deadline.
