I chose to study at St Andrews due to its beautiful campus, high quality and rigorous education system, small university population size, and Scottish experience.
What did you most enjoy about your degree programme? The experience of living in halls, the people (peers and professors), and my course structure and resources made available to aid my studies.
What have you been doing since graduating from St Andrews, and what are you doing now?I am working as an investment banking analyst within the M&A and Operations Division at the pan-European bank UniCredit and am based in Milan, Italy.
Why did you choose this career? What do you enjoy most about your work?I enjoy technical problems, and I'm fascinated in how banking helps fuel the economy and makes a positive tangible impact on society. I also enjoy building a strong network and learning how to add value to corporate clients.
What advice would you give to current and future students?Build a strong network, try to gain experience related to the industry you would like to join (there are plenty of options at St Andrews such as Investment Soc!), and get good at tweaking your CV. I’d also recommend conducting mock interviews.
