About Me

I am an Environmental Geographer at the School of Geography and Sustainable Development, University of St Andrews. My research focuses on sustainability issues, particularly unique challenges faced in marine and coastal environments. Some of the key themes are:

I conduct social science research at local, national and international scales, as part of ongoing efforts to evaluate the effectiveness of management institutions, and understand change in coasts and oceans. In my present role, I am involved in leading a marine and coastal environment research team . I have played a role in teams conducting research on change in 28 European coastal areas, as part of the SPICOSA, IMCORE, COREPOINT, (NERC) CBESS, and (ESRC-NERC) CO-OPT projects.
