Justin Snedegar
Department of Philosophy
University of St Andrews

I am a senior lecturer in the Department of Philosophy at the University of St Andrews. I am also a member of the Advisory Committee for the Arché Philosophical Research Centre.

I work mostly in ethical theory, especially in metaethics and practical reasoning, with serious side interests in the philosophy of language and epistemology.

I completed my PhD at the University of Southern California in 2013. Before going to USC, I studied philosophy and mathematics at West Virginia University. And before that, I spent about eighteen years in my hometown, Lewisburg, WV, which was recently named the Coolest Small Town in America.

That's a picture of me with my wife, Emmy.
