Mr A. Marjoriebanks was a Scottish burgess in Danzig in 1705. He had supplied 30 daler to Robert Gordon when he was in Poland collecting money towards the restoration fund for Marischal College, Aberdeen. Around 1704, a James Marjoriebanks from Leith noted that Lord Sinclair's salt "measured so ill out at Danzig". It is not clear if James went there himself or if he got this information from this possible relative
