Margaret Westoun was married to Alexander Muir [SSNE 7287], a Scottish ship's captain who lived in Stockholm in the early 17th century. In March 1614 the Stockholm consistory records that they testified to the fact that Anna Alexandersdotter (presumably Muir's daughter [SSNE 8357]) had been lawfully promised to the Scottish nobleman, "Hans Lumstelt" (probably John/Iain Lumsden). They provided a signed document (noted as being in Scots) containing the signatures of James Fernie [SSNE 2194], James Drummond, William "Dusin" and James Humble amongst others. Cf.[SSNE 5061]
