Lieutenant Douglas was an officer in Colonel David Balfour's [SSNE 8033] regiment of the Scots-Dutch Brigade. He was wounded at the siege of Maastricht in 1632. In the anonymous journal detailing the siege it is noted that a "Captain" Douglas was wounded on 31 July, but all other sources indicate he was either a lieutenant or an ensign. If it was in fact a "Captain" Douglas who was wounded, then this would be Sir Archibald Douglas [SSNE 8034], of the same regiment.
