Captain Oliver Udny was a captain in Col. Brog's [SSNE 7842] regiment between 1607-1610. He took oath on 16 May 1607 and commanded Brog's old company. His lieutenant in 1609 was John Knenmont [SSNE 7988]. Udny departed from the service (or died) by 23 Oct 1610 and was succeeded by Captain Ramsay [SSNE 8109].
Some figures regarding his captaincy:
1608: commands 91 men, salary £1290
1609: 70 men, £1059
1610: 70 men, £1059
The decrease in the strength of his company seems to be part of a general reduction in men in the Scots Brigade directly after the signing of the Twelve Years' Truce.
