William Woodie was a Scottish officer in Swedish service. On 31 March 1620 his illegitimate child was christened at St Nikolai church in Stockholm. No godparents were noted. He himself, along with 3 other unnamed captains, served as a godparent to Hans Tailor's child who was baptised in June 1620.Stockholm Stadsarkiv, St Nikolai kyrkas dopbok fran och med 1611 till och med 1622, p.49 and p.50.
