Mr Hurst was a merchant and had some dealings with the joint stock companie run by Andrew Russell [SSNE 143] and Patrick Thomson [SSNE 6475]. He was based in the Danzig region and gave advice to John Gib Younger [SSNE 7072] when his ship became stranded in Heyligona in September 1687-May 1688. He was also an associate of Mr Arthur [SSNE 7172].
