Alexander Irving was the son of Colonel Alexander Irving [SSNE 2715]. He was a student at Uppsala in 1651 and later served as a major in 'tremänning' regiment. He attended the Riksdag of 1660. Irving married Christina Ulfsparre of Hjortoslakten in her second marriage (the first was to commandant of Noteborg, Johan Kininnmond, brother of Patrick and Thomas, who were ennobled as Kinnemond), the widow of a Judge Kinnemundt.
