Mr Thomas Harvie (aka Hardie) was a merchant settled in Konigsberg. When Robert Langlands [SSNE 7138] moved to the city he asked that his letters be directed to Mr Harvie's house. Reverend James Brown [SSNE 6314] also directed Andrew Russell to direct letters to Brown to the same address in 1690. William Peadge [SSNE 7170] recommended Harvie to Andrew Russell [SSNE 143] in a letter of 23 June 1687 noting him as an 'honest young gentleman' and expressing the belief that their meeting would be mutually beneficial.
