Johan/Ian Kennedy is listed as a lieutenant in Captain Frantz Horne's Eidsbergske company in the Smålenske infantry regiment in 1657 who was recruited in Holland. He is noted as a Dutchman, but his name implies an Irish connection. He was paid off after the end of the war with Sweden in 1658.
