Text source
John Meen became a citizen of Bergen in 1558. In 1585, William Kipper (Cooper), another burgess of Bergen accused John Meen of having fled Scotland for passing false money which he'd taken to the country. Meen provided evidence that he had been cleared by the mayor and council of Bergen on 8 July 1580. There are other people named Meen in the Sollied Arkiv, but no relationship has been established to this man
