On 14 October 1594 James Creiff appeared at Stockholm court, along with James Crawford and Thomas Clement, accusing the Reval merchant, Hans Rode, of having killed his relative Thomas [SSNE 6749] and claiming the 100 daler fine. Although the money was there at the court James would not take it. On 28 October Hans Rode appeared before the court asking the money to be set aside for an authorised relative of Crieff's.
