Text source

Ian de Lausson/Lawson was an artillery lieutenant in Poland-Lithuania who had his noble status there confirmed as a reward for his valour in 1685. There was a captain John Lawson and a lieutenant James Lawson who were both ennobled at the same time. It's possible that their first names or ranks have been confused.
