Laurids Forbes was born around 1596 and died in 1629. He worked as the castle scribe (Slotsskriver) of Helsingborg Castle. He was probably a brother of David Pedersen Forbes.T. Riis, Should Auld Acquaintance Be Forgot (Odense, 1988), II, p.153.
