Cetti 'Catherine' Maclean was the grandaughter of Sir John Cochrane [SSNE 1490] and Grace Butler, a cousin of the Duke of Ormond. Her father was Jacob Maclean [SSNE 312], eldest son of John Maclean, 1st Baronet Duart [SSNE 1631] and his first wife Anna Gubbertz. Her mother was Catherine Cochrane [[SSNE 6231]. Catherine's parents moved to Ireland in 1660; however, she married Colonel Gelhorn in Norwegian service and moved there.
